For the clinic
Resend
Appointment and enquiry forms will email the clinic through Resend. Create the account with the clinic Gmail, then send the API key. Nothing is pasted into the website.
What to send
- The API key (re_…), sent privately
- The Gmail address used to sign up
- Whether smilewithaurevo.com shows as Verified
- The From address to use once the domain is verified
Steps
1. Sign up with the clinic Google account
Open resend.com/signup and create the account with smilewithaurevo@gmail.com. The person who creates the account should stay as the owner. A personal Gmail that only one staff member can open will lock the clinic out later.
2. Confirm the email
Resend sends a confirmation to that Gmail inbox. Open it and finish signup. After that, the dashboard is at resend.com/login.
3. Create an API key
In the dashboard, open API Keys and click Create API Key. Name it Aurévo website. Permission: Sending access. Copy the key as soon as it appears. It starts with re_ and is shown only once. The steps are also in Create an API key.
4. Send the key privately
Send the API key only to the developer, in a private message. It must not be pasted into the website, a public chat, or email that other people can forward. The key is stored as a server setting, the same way a password is stored.
5. Use the free test sender first
Before a domain is verified, Resend can send only from onboarding@resend.dev, and only to the Gmail address used to sign up. That is enough for form tests to arrive at smilewithaurevo@gmail.com. The free plan limits are on resend.com/pricing.
6. Add the clinic domain
Open Domains and add smilewithaurevo.com. Resend shows DNS records. Copy them into the place that manages the domain (the host or registrar). Then click Verify. Full steps: Add and verify a domain. Verification often finishes within 15 minutes. DNS can take up to 72 hours.
7. Tell the developer it is verified
When the domain status says Verified, reply with that status and the From address the clinic wants, for example appointments@smilewithaurevo.com. After the domain is verified, form emails can use that address and can also be sent to patients.
